About Wedding Photography…
Wedding photography is an incredibly important investments to make for your wedding day. You have invested so much into the day & invited all your favourite people to be there with you. There is no better opportunity for a photoshoot! Yes, my aim as a photographer is to document the day as it unfolds, but I am also looking for connections, relationships and emotions throughout the day. They tell the real story of you and all your loved ones, of your community. Your photographs will have you reliving all the special moments, but they also show just how much love & goodwill can be in a room, just for you. There is no better feeling than getting to relive those moments and feelings of your wedding day.
So how much does wedding photography cost?
Wedding Photography Packages vary considerably depending on a number of factors. Firstly how long you need a photographer for and what kind of product you may or may not want. Other influences will be experience, how regularly they invest in training, how many photographers will be there & is the photographer insured and registered as a business? (I am).
It is also worth taking some time to think about what you are going to do with your photos? The digital revolution has been incredible for photography. Practically every photographer will offer high resolution files with any coverage. Online albums are amazing for their convenience & I love a good slideshow but I urge everyone to print their images (yourself or ask your photographer to do so). Get them on the wall or create an album as their is nothing like having physical prints – yes I am super biased.
However it is important to say, while budget is an incredibly important factor for most couples, it shouldn’t be the most important. Firstly find a photographer who’s style you love. Can you imagine yourself in the shots you see? Do you love the look and feel of the images? If so, get in touch and make sure that photographer is someone that you are happy to have as part of your big day. Hopefully they have a package that matches your budget. If you have read this much I hope you do love my work and would like to work with me, so lets chat and see are we a good fit!

FAQ
How do I book you?
First up we need to check availability for your dates, so get in touch. If I am available, let’s organise a call and see if I am the right fit for your day. If you decide you are happy to book me, you need to pay a deposit and sign a contract. No booking is confirmed until I have a deposit and signed contract.
Whats your style of photography?
Natural, relaxed, fun, romantic.
I have a bit of a hybrid style I guess. I will direct to get those classic wedding/portrait shots but I love capturing natural candid shots too and luckily every wedding day has ample opportunity to get these. Even when getting the more formal wedding shots (I use the term formal very loosely) I really encourage people to be themselves. I may give a gentle prompts here and there so that even formal images feel very natural and capture you at your best and captures the best of your relationships and connections to loved ones.
Do you do Documentary Wedding Photography?
Yes but I will also direct. My aim is always to document the day as it unfolds. You will recieve heaps of natural candid shots of your guests, family and you. However, I do love to get some classic shots. These involve a little direction or very simple prompts. This is especially important if you want the classic set of family portraits. You just won’t get them if they are not organised and set up. However I love to keep these as uncomplicated and natural as possible. I promise any set up photos will still be capturing the best of your loved ones and will not feel stiff or formal.
I also highly recommend every couple takes 30/40 minutes out of the day to have some shots together. Again this does not have to be stiff and formal, or even in the one go, but it is a really lovely chance to take some time out and be together. Again, I will give gentle prompts but really I aim to capture very natural shots of you together.
Do you do videography?
No I like to concentrate on just photography as it is more than enough to keep me busy throughout the day. However I am well used to working alongside videographers and actually really enjoy it. Any professional videographer will be the same.
But I hate being photographed! Any tips?
Majority of my couples say this to me! Keep in mind, you are going to feel amazing all day long. You will be dressed up, have hair and make up done, be surrounded by all your favourite people and will have just married the love of your life. You are going to feel good about yourself and this shines through in the photos!!
I am also a professional so trust me! I can give as much direction as needed but will absolutely give you space to just be yourselves too. Everyone has different comfort levels so I will constantly be working with this in mind.
You will be amazing!
What is a high resolution image?
This is the digital file that is basically your image. A high resolution file is high enough quality that you can print from it.
You will also notice that there is an option to download low resolution files in your online gallery. These are best for online use. They are lower quality so I don’t recommend printing from them, but they take up much less space on phones etc and will upload faster.
Who can see my online gallery?
This is up to you. It is set to be private but you can share with as many people as you like.
There are heaps of really cool features that enable you to hide any shots you may not want people to see or you can create scenes for sharing certain parts of the day e.g. family shots.
What are your qualifications?
I have a B.A. (Hons) degree in Photography, which I graduated from in 2007 & have been working in the industry ever since. I have worked for a number of high end photography studios & was expected to regularly attended training. I still regularly do courses to keep up to date with industry standards and push myself as a creative. As a member of the IPPVA, I am expected to produce work of a high standard but can also avail of regular training events.
