A little bit about me
I am a professional photographer based in Co Mayo, who has been working in the industry for about 15 years, nationally and internationally.
People are my thing! I adore wedding photography & portraits. The glimpse into people’s lives and special moments is truly a pleasure to be part of.
Whether it’s your special day or photographing your little ones, my approach is the same… as natural as possible and capturing the best of you and your loved ones. While I am happy to direct when needed (we all need a little help in front of the camera) my real aim is to get you feeling relaxed enough that you forget the camera is there. I love all the little ‘in between’ moments. That’s when you capture the true personalities and craziness of people’s lives
My Background
I gained an honours degree in photography 15 years ago (eek) and haven’t looked back. I’ve been working in the industry ever since.
Having worked for a number of portrait and wedding studios in Ireland and Australia I have been incredibly lucky to learn the trade from some amazing photographers. All of which have a genuine love for the craft and people and been incredibly generous in passing on their knowledge.
I have also taught photography online to 1000s of international students and loved it. Ask me a question about photography and I will happily talk for hours (you’ve been warned).
Travelled heaps & love to any chance I get. China, Colombia and Iceland are firm favourites but don’t make me choose.
Travel has definitely been put on hold for a little while as I now have two gorgeous kids (who definitely feature heavily in my portfolio). They keep me crazy busy but also keep me smiling and inspired.
I am now incredibly excited to be working for myself. Setting up my own photography business has always been my goal and I am so grateful to be finally doing it (it really has been a long time coming). In 2022 I bit the bullet and registered as a business. To say it has been a steep learning curve is an understatement but I cant wait to see what opportunities and amazing clients I get to meet going forward.
Little me
I honestly adore looking back through old family photos. I have made many an album as birthday or going away presents and they are still what gets commented on more than anything else. Photos are about so much more than just what you look like in them. They tell stories of connection, family bonds and relationships. They show personalities, emotions and of course freeze those oh so fleeting moments in time..
